The Tulum Crypto Fest (TCF), Tulum’s first ever cryptocurrency festival is happening May 13 – 15, 2022 and will merge crypto, web3, metaverse, NFTs, music, art, and entertainment with Tulum’s iconic beach, jungle, nightlife, and spiritual wellness scenes. Deeply rooted in ancient Mayan culture, Tulum has become an epicenter of spiritually conscious digital nomads, free thinkers, innovative entrepreneurs, musicians, creatives, and now, an emerging Web3 Hub for Latin America. TCF will be held in the wild beauty of PAPAYA PLAYA PROJECT (PPP), a pristine beachside, boho chic, eco-hotel, and one of Tulum’s most sought after event venues.

Presented by Tulum Crypto Club, Coworking Tulum, and Like Group, TCF will be an ecstatic three day curation of top level local and international cryptocurrency thought leaders, DJ nightlife activations, ever expanding business networking opportunities, concluding with a full day of wellness ceremonies at a private cenote in the jungle. Throughout the weekend, there will be a main stage for keynote speakers, fireside talks, panel discussions, an NFT artwalk presented by Feel the Fruit and a Crypto School with workshops for everyone in attendance, from crypto beginners to maestros. Guests will have the ultimate opportunity to experience Tulum’s infamous BLEASURE lifestyle (business + pleasure), enjoying its pristine beaches, luxury jungle scene, technology, community, and crypto.

The keynote speakers will be Pablo Gonzalez, Founder of Bitso, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in Latin America; Rodolfo Rosas Moya, the Co-Founder of Aldea Zama; Artist, Diego Dreyfus; Scarlett Arana, Geospatial Scientist and Founder of Miami’s BitBasel and Nemus cofounder Charlie Graham. Mexican senator Indira Kempis Martínez who has initiated legislation to favor the use of Bitcoin will also be speaking.

With 60 more contributors, influencers, and local Mexican government officials, other topics include: NFT ticketing and crypto event management, real-estate tokenization, designing the metaverse, how NFTs can save the planet, live NFT minting, advancing conversations to support a Tulum Coin, the necessity of more women in crypto, the importance of Bitcoin financial education including crypto for kids, ways to decrease the carbon footprint with Web3 technology and much more!

“TCF is one of a kind because it’s the first crypto festival that joins the physical, digital, and spiritual worlds and we will be showing how these worlds can co-exist in harmony. Think TedX plus Burning Man,” says Immanuele Cape, the Founder of the Tulum Crypto Club and Co-Founder of TCF. According to Cape, what sets the Tulum Crypto Fest apart from other crypto conferences throughout the world is fusing technology with nature and connecting the brightest minds in Defi to planet free thinkers and eco-conscious builders, who dream of using blockchain for the betterment of society and the world at large.

The Tulum Crypto Club has been a pioneer in the crypto movement of Tulum through its weekly educational meetups at Cleo Beach Club with high profile speakers that has attracted an international community who believe in a worldwide decentralized financial system and are living the “barefoot-luxury, beach-ital” lifestyle.

Among other local crypto pioneers, TCF has partnered with Sandra Ponce de Leon, and Chucho Escoto Faces, owners of the NFT Boutique and Unlockable Content Agency  to provide a holographic NFT gallery experience, titled “NFT Boutique at the Beach.”  Eco-conscious NFT Collections that are saving the planet will be displayed, with missions like turning plastic washed ashore on the Tulum beaches into clean fuel, among others. The NFT Boutique is also excited to present a special Saturday activation from 5-8pm featuring Crypto Art and Culture exhibit by Aaron Koenig and new collections Plantiver.se, House of Panther, Xibalba.NFT.

Women Take the Lead in Web3

While women remain significantly underrepresented in fintech and crypto, Web3 has opened up a new world of possibilities for women to gain ground and leverage these new technologies to create new economies and build wealth. TCF will feature local Tulum blockchain leaders in the “Women Take the Lead in Web3” panel, including Miroslava Pineda Landa, CEO of Fractional Class Mexico; Francesca Martina, founder of More Women in Crypto; and Steph Ferrera of Tulum Coin. There will also be a “Black Women in Web3” panel featuring Tessa Leffall, project manager for VaynerNFT; Cyn Bahati, founder of Bahati Games, and singer/songwriter WATA. The founders of Crypto Epic Queen will be leading a hands on, interactive crypto workshop.

TCF will kick off the event Thursday night with cocktails and networking at Downtown Tulum. On Friday morning, ancient Mayan culture of the Riviera Maya region will be preserved through a traditional Mayan opening ceremony.   VIP ticket holders will get to experience the “Krypton” Friday night after party at La Pizzine venue in La Valeta, with featured DJs, Prayer, and Sarmi. Saturday will close with Papaya Playa Project’s infamous and experiential Full Moon Celebration.

On Sunday, TCF guests will experience the spiritually conscious magic of Tulum at Vesica, a private cenote and restaurant in the jungle that combines Mayan architecture with jungle elegance. Guests can relax and decompress with a full day of wellness talks and activations such as kundalini yoga, massage, ice baths, breathwork classes, live music and sunset DJ sets, featuring the local Tulum resident DJ favorites like JPool, Los Alchemist, Eli Fola, and Linda Romanazzi.
