The Canvas, a retail and ethical fashion platform that empowers independent creators working towards the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, opens its doors and its Web 3 gallery, The Canvas 3.0, to Wynwood, Miami. Originally located at New York’s Oculus in the Westfield World Trade Center, it is a gallery and hub for immersive Web 3.0 experiences in partnership with WHIM. The gallery serves as a bridge between the digital and physical realms with a strong emphasis on empowering independent creators through events, activations, and installations. The goal is to make Web 3.0 accessible and open to all.
Catering to emerging, independent, and ethically driven brands and creators, The Canvas 3.0 has formed valuable partnerships with renowned brands such as Rolling Stone, Pussy Riot, Transient Labs, Superchief Gallery, TRIDENT, Worldcoin, and several others.
Securing a prime location previously occupied by Solana Spaces, The Canvas has acquired a spacious 5,000-square-foot area in a building with several esteemed tenants, such as Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund. The Canvas Miami emerges as a dynamic multi-brand fashion platform, NFT gallery, and event space. As the newest flagship location, it showcases a carefully curated selection of independent brands that exude the city’s lively culture. Furthermore, the space offers a rotating exhibition of digital art, adding an innovative touch to the overall experience. This new expansion showcases the brand’s commitment to forward-thinking ideas and immersive experiences.
In 2023, a diverse range of Web 3 companies have shown their commitment by entering into paid sponsorships and partnerships. Devin Gilmartin, the Co-Founder of Canvas and current CEO of Canvas Global, will focus on nurturing and expanding existing partnerships, as well as forging new ones.
Current active Web 3 partners include Superchief Gallery NFT, a bi-coastal gallery specializing in curating digital exhibits exclusively available for a limited number of dates throughout 2023. Another partner is Transient Labs, “The premier innovation platform for Web 3 creators, projects and ecosystems around the world.”
Trident, a recently-launched GameFi solution, also partners with The Canvas 3.0, hosting community events, activations, and meet-ups at The Canvas locations.
“I strongly believe, through collective effort between Trident and The Canvas, we can enact significant change to disrupt and propel our industries towards a brighter tomorrow. In the Age of Information, the way we look at ownership has drastically changed, and the vision we both share for now and hereafter is sure to make tidal waves towards merging the physical and non-physical ideas people have about that ownership” Joshua Ayad, Founder and CEO of TRIDENT said. “Through The Canvas, Trident will bring its non-physical fruits of labor to physical places, and help us align our own work for a more sustainable of Earth.”
And, of course, WHIM, the digital-canvas maker, is an in-kind sponsor. WHIM provides all of The Canvas 3.0 canvases without cost as well as the furniture to outfit the WHIM lounge. Further developing this relationship with WHIM’s CEO and CPO will be critical to scaling The Canvas 3.0.
The Canvas is also hosting an “Orb” for Worldcoin, Sam Altman’s newest venture determined to scan the iris of every human in the world in order to create “proof of personhood,” a concept they assert will be critical in a world of rapidly developing artificial intelligence. The Canvas 3.0 is rapidly growing and has plans to expand throughout New York and internationally. Contact The Canvas here for partnership opportunities.
