Keynote Announcement
Apple has just been in the news for being the first company valued at 1 Trillion USD. It is no secret that the technological innovations brought to us by Apple have changed our lives. The invention of the personal computer is claimed by a few companies, and it all depends on your definition of a PC, but Apple probably has the strongest claim with the launch of the Apple II computer in 1977. Apple has also changed the way we buy music and what we consider a telephone. It is therefore quite fitting that co-founder Steve Wozniak will participate in the upcoming chainXchange event, themed “How Will You Change The World?”. Woz, as he is commonly called by fans, has been confirmed as one of the keynote speakers.

Crypto Enthusiast
Steve Wozniak might not be known as a crypto and blockchain pioneer but he has come out speaking his mind about blockchain technology, and Bitcoin specifically, several times in the past. What many people do not know is that Woz bought into Bitcoin fairly early on and sold most of his coins near last year’s all-time high, making quite a bit of money in the process. Like any true enthusiast, he held on to 1 Bitcoin. After all, who would not keep one unit of an asset of which only 21 million will ever be available?
The die-hard engineer has spoken very favorable of Bitcoin and Ethereum in the past, although he has compared the blockchain hype to the dotcom bubble of the late 1990s. In these conversations, he has highlighted the good to come out of the dotcom bubble after the dust had settled.
The chainXchange Show
Steve Wozniak will not be the only celebrity heading to Las Vegas for the chainXchange show. The event, taking place from August 13th to 15th, will feature a mix of experts form a number of technological and economic disciplines, ranging from Blockchain to Artificial Intelligence and Investment. The field of experts will be complemented by a curious mix of entertainment figures, including rapper, actor, and film producer Common as well as hip-hop trio Salt-N-Pepa.
It’s not all celebrity talks and musical performance though, as chainXchange will also include blockchain certification classes and technical breakout tracks.
Steve Wozniak’s appearance will no doubt add both glamour and technical credibility to this event. Visitors can almost certainly expect an experience few blockchain conference and trade fairs can match. In this sense, Las Vegas is probably a very fitting venue for the chainXchange show.
