In a groundbreaking collaboration, IVY.CASH, a leading blockchain technology innovator, has joined forces with Katla to make their captivating “Wonderful Beings” NFTs accessible to a wider audience. IVY.CASH, co-founded by Sacha Tueni, aims to simplify the process of bringing digital assets to the masses, regardless of the industry they belong to. Through the use of QR codes that can be scanned on any mobile device, IVY has revolutionized the transfer of NFTs.

“The IVY platform enables anyone with a camera, phone, and internet access to participate, own, and transfer digital items seamlessly on the blockchain,” explains Tueni.

By scanning the QR code, a wallet is generated instantly, eliminating the need for additional technology beyond an iOS or Android phone. This user-friendly approach allows individuals to store NFTs directly on their mobile devices without the need for additional applications, while IVY handles the intricate Web3 processes in the background. This breakthrough technology enables brands like Katla to establish direct and enduring relationships with patrons who scan the code.

Katla, the sustainable fashion brand by Aslaug Magnúsdóttir, founder and former CEO of Moda Operandi, is leveraging IVY’s technology to incorporate NFTs into their new collection, “Wonderful Beings,” to raise funds for seaweed regeneration.

This extraordinary collaboration, where art, nature, fashion, and sophisticated but hyper-simplified Web3 technology converge, features an initial run of 50 highly unique hoodies adorned with Hendrikka Waage’s painterly “Wonderful Beings.” The artwork consists of over 200 hand-painted traits digitally transformed into 10,000 possible variations of NFTs.

IVY was specifically designed with accessibility in mind, removing the frustrating barrier to entry typically associated with NFTs, crypto, and blockchain technology. By utilizing IVY, fans and supporters can either purchase a standalone NFT or buy a one-of-a-kind hoodie and NFT featuring one of Waage’s printed “Wonderful Beings” on the front.

Regardless of the chosen option, scanning an IVY QR code automatically creates a unique account, enrolling patrons in the “Wonderful Beings Ocean Club.” This exclusive membership grants access to special content, events, and promotions. The user’s account can be conveniently stored in their Apple Wallet or Google Wallet for future use at events or when making purchases on exclusive websites. Most importantly, IVY empowers customers by granting them full control over their assets.

IVY’s tech-savvy co-founder, Sacha Tueni, who is both a business partner and co-parent to Katla’s Magnusdottir, believes that the future of NFTs lies in simplicity. “Until it’s as simple as clicking a link, the future will not happen,” asserts Tueni. “Our mission is to make it as simple as possible. We want people to enjoy NFTs, in our case, a Wonderful Being; these painted ladies in various combinations, and all for a great cause.”

Hendrikka Waage, the artist behind the NFT artwork, is an internationally renowned jewelry designer and artist. Her series portrays women with a single ear, symbolizing the notion that in today’s information-saturated world, one doesn’t have to listen to everything. These NFT women are Climate Warriors, with some carrying corresponding weapons.

As climate warriors themselves, Magnúsdóttir and Tueni are committed to making a positive environmental impact. Katla, launched in 2020, aims to revolutionize fashion by minimizing its negative ecological footprint while offering beautiful and timeless essentials inspired by Nordic aesthetics that offer comfort with sustainable appeal.

The fashion industry stands as the second most water-polluting sector worldwide and is responsible for 10% of global carbon emissions. Addressing this issue requires innovative collaborations that transcend traditional fashion paradigms. Hence, 15% of the sales from the Wonderful Beings NFTs and 15% of the hoodie sales will be dedicated to ocean regeneration.

Katla also incorporates Icelandic seaweed into their cotton sweatshirts, effectively sequestering 20 times more carbon than land trees while growing underwater. “Taking care of the health of the seaweed, harvesting it sustainably, and cultivating more seaweed is something we’re very interested in,” explains Magnusdottir.

“We understand that there are still opportunities to create a new kind of canvas in Web3,” adds Tueni. “Our ‘sexy wallet,’ as we like to call it, is constantly evolving. It’s also a means to connect with the community, whether they’re in London, Reykjavik, Sydney, or New York, where our ambassadors share our message to their local networks. With IVY, it’s super simple for anyone to purchase, receive, and exchange NFTs without being an expert. By incorporating NFTs into fashion itself, people can continue to connect through their clothing and their closet.”
