The need for cross-chain and interoperable solutions have never been greater. The average crypto user, from DeFi user to gamer or casual trader, uses multiple chains on a daily basis. For projects, this realization has led to a spree of cross-chain solutions, such as native bridges, and third-party solutions to help navigate the need to use and take advantage of the benefits of cross-chain.

Faraland, one of the most popular BSC-native gaming projects, just announced the release of a cross-chain bridge to the ETH network. The idea is simple: give current users more flexibility to bridge assets while opening up a completely new user base by also catering to ETH users.

For Faraland, the decision to create a cross-chain bridge to ETH was backed by heavy community support. As a result of the community’s DAO vote, Faraland pushed the cross-chain solution live on October 21 with the following details:

Token contract on BSC: 0xf4ed363144981d3a65f42e7d0dc54ff9eef559a1

Token contract on ETH: 0xaef9E3e050D0Ef060cdfd5246209B0B6BB66060F

Faraland CEO Nguyen Tuan Hung explains, “This is the next important milestone for the project as Faraland has already been taking steps to build a project that contains a sustainable ecosystem and creates a fair and accessible opportunity for anyone who wants to play the game.”

Exploring the Benefits of a Cross-Chain Bridge

Cross-chain bridges are critical for expanding a project’s user base, which is essential for gaming projects in particular. Currently, Ethereum’s ecosystem, infrastructure, and developer tools are unmatched by other networks. Despite scalability and fee concerns, Ethereum still boasts the most users out of any network on the market.

Specifically, up until recently, almost all of the past year’s NFT activity was conducted on Ethereum. This means most of the recent NFT adapters have already developed experience with Ethereum-based NFT infrastructure, such as marketplaces, wallets, and more. For Faraland, the bridge to ETH gives an opportunity to both attract these users, while showcasing the potential of BSC which has quickly become a favorite among recent gaming projects.

Next, given the presumable growth in new users due to this bridge, it is expected that Faraland’s native toke, $FARA, will see increased liquidity across both networks. Users will have more alternatives in FaraCrystal liquidity, including access to more ETH-based DeFi products. This is important as the project implements staking and other reward mechanisms.

Faraland CEO Nguyen Tuan Hung adds, “In the future, Faraland will develop a new world-map with a separate plot and character route on Ethereum. We want to bring players on all platforms together, making Faraland a true multi-chain game. Gamers on the same platform will join forces against players from different blockchain networks, resulting in massive battles.”

It is clear that Faraland has the community and the future of its ecosystem at the core of its roadmap as it navigates the ever-evolving world of blockchain gaming. Keep an eye on their next developments by joining their community here
