BlockTelegraph’s Jordan French to moderate fireside at Advertising Week

Blockchain has entered the advertising space.

A $250 billion industry, digital advertising is central to how brands connect with consumers. The current landscape, however, remains centralized — and even duopolistic — with Facebook and Google dominating digital advertising spend through Facebook ads and Google adwords. Engagement with advertising across the board remains low, and, by industry measures, around the 1-2% mark. Worse, Facebook and Google appear vulnerable to security breaches and data theft — data that consumers might not have given permission to these platforms to collect in the first place.

In a fireside titled “Decentralized Advertising – Getting 1-on-1 with 100M Consumers on Blockchain,” BlockTelegraph Executive Editor Jordan French will be asking the tough questions at Advertising Week on October 4 at 2:15pm on the IBM Watson marketing stage. Joining French will be TapNetwork CEO Lin Dai, who is aiming to build a decentralized advertising network — boasting higher engagement rates — to take on the duopoly and centralized advertising monopolies elsewhere.
