Binance, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, has announced it will give away $100 worth of BNB tokens to users affected by the recent earthquake in Turkey.
The users will be identified based on proof-of-address in 10 cities most impacted by the disaster. Although the method of identification has limitations, Binance considers it the best available option. The total donation is estimated to be around $5 million.
Crypto exchange Binance confirmed on Twitter and in an official blog that said it will airdrop $100 of its native BNB token to all its users identified to be in the regions most affected by the Turkish earthquake tragedy.
“The recent earthquakes in Turkey have had a devastating impact on so many people and communities. We hope that our efforts will bring some relief to those affected. We are also calling on our industry peers to once again come together to offer support in these times of crisis,” said Binance founder and CEO CZ.

The magnitude 7.8 earthquake has toppled over 5,775 buildings, confirmed The Guardian newspaper.
Binance Charity has also opened a public donation address for those wishing to contribute to the relief effort, which can be done in various cryptocurrencies such as BTC, ETH, BNB, BUSD, and XRP.
